Our dedicated staff teams are highly valued. We look for people who have the right attitudes, qualities and personalities to ensure that our Service Users are treated with dignity and respect at all times. As well as seeking staff with a wealth of experience we also employ those who have little or no experience or background in care, as we provide the highest standard of training and supervision.
Typically our services support people to cook, maintain their home, access their local community, take holidays and attend to essential personal care needs. We encourage people to be as active as possible and use creative approaches to access opportunities that might not otherwise have been possible.
We expect our staff to actively enable each and every person we support to achieve their personal best however this is defined. Everything we do has this aim in mind to give the right mix of security, independence and support to learn and grow.
All new members of staff undertake a 5 day induction programme as they commence employment followed by the completion of the Common Induction Standards within their first 3 months. This gives staff the skills to enable them to fulfil their role with quality and confidence.
In addition to the statutory requirements TLC Care Homes also offers a wide range of other training specific to service user need, to ensure that we have a holistic understanding of a persons emotional, physical and environmental welfare, providing opportunities to enhance and also to refresh knowledge. We have an extremely good reputation for the strength of our training support to staff teams.
All staff are expected to complete a Personal Development Plan with their Line Manager to ensure that training needs are addressed in a timely manner.
TLC Care Homes has a robust Whistleblowing policy and adheres to the Safeguarding Regulations without fail. All incidents of abuse and/or suspected abuse reported to us are followed through.
Rest assured that TLC Care Homes is a safe place to both live and work.
