TLC Care and Support is excited to announce two more nominations for the Essex Care Sector Awards: The Prospers 2019, which celebrate the best of care in Essex demonstrated through innovation, achievement and outstanding contribution.
Sam Raz, a Support Worker on our Blamsters Farm site is the perfect example of what these awards are about, Sam has been nominated for his innovative idea in creating the Cabin project, his ideas and forward thinking has truly changed peoples’ lives and taught them to improve fine motor skills, recycling and woodwork. As well as growing their own organic vegetables, this environment has encouraged and allowed the individuals we support to be themselves, while experimenting and learning new skills. The area was built from all recycled materials that they have collected and been donated. Individuals find this space engaging on many levels are always seeking new ways to improve it.
One of the many visitors to the cabin as said ‘I would like to mention how successfully your team has been able to engage some of the severely challenging residents by providing opportunities for them to get involved in the newly developed activities area, which I think was a very good addition to the already existing on-site activities. Congratulations! Keep up the good work’
Chloe James another Support Worker on Blamsters Farm, has been nominated by the parents of one of the individuals we support for Outstanding Support Worker. They nominated her for her excellent support to John, Chloe has been working with John for a number of years, and has a great bond with him, they have experienced many adventures together.
The winners will be announced in November with a celebratory dinner at the Essex Race Course.
Good Luck Chloe and Sam, Thank you for all your hard work and dedication, we are very honored to have you part of our team.
