A fantastic night was had by all at the Prosper Essex Care Awards 2019, with TLC Care and Support team members scooping a clutch of trophies and certificates.
Support Worker Sam Raz WON the Innovation in Care category for the outdoor activities that he has developed at Blamsters Farm in Halstead for people who use our services. You can hear him speaking about his innovative Cabin project on our video here.
TLC Operations Director Alan Betts said: “This is a fantastic achievement and recognises how Sam has changed people’s lives. The Cabin was built from recycled materials and is a place where individuals can grow vegetables, learn new skills such as woodwork and improve their fine motor skills.”
Sam also received a Highly Commended award in the Activities and Wellbeing category while colleague Chloe James, also a Support Worker at Blamsters Farm, received a Highly Commended award for being an Outstanding Carer and providing excellent support over a number of years.
Donna Blackwell, based at Wellwick House, and her team received a Highly Commended award for Diet, Nutrition and Hydration, for her efforts every month to find new and exciting recipes using seasonal fruit and vegetables.
Plus our Point Clear home received a Commendation for Home of the Year.
Well done everyone!
