Designed for TLC
Blamsters Green is a modern converted barn on the outskirts of Halstead, surrounded by countryside. It was built on one level and was designed specifically for TLC.
We provide residential support to eight individuals living in self-contained annexes, which have been adapted to suit their individual and complex needs.
The individual suites comprise of lounge (some with kitchenettes), bedroom and en-suite bathroom. There is also shared access to communal areas of the home, including kitchen, lounge and a spacious enclosed garden.
Blamsters Green is a predominately non-verbal service providing specialist support to people with severe learning disabilities, autism, Down syndrome and epilepsy with complex behavioural needs.
With this in mind, Blamsters Green has a passionate and professional staff team with varying experience and skill base providing only the very best support for the individuals. The staff team on Blamsters Green are dedicated to providing a safe, caring environment that is effective and responsive to every individual’s needs.
All activities and support with daily living tasks have been carefully planned and agreed based on the respect for each individual’s values and choices, ensuring the support provided is person-centred and the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.
Those residing at Blamsters Green are supported to book and go on their annual holidays, visit local clubs, cafes and bars, attend swimming, bowling, cinema trips, railway museums.
They are also supported to maintain family contact with frequent visits home or on trips out with family.
