SUPPORT WORKER – DAY SHIFT
Donylands is looking for experienced and dynamic people looking to join a service looking to transform itself for the people we support and meet their needs in a changing world. On a large site with great potential, you will be supporting 12 people with varying degrees of need to live in supported living. You will be able to support someone to learn life skills and find a pathway towards independence in the community, as well as be able to support people with challenging behaviours and mental health needs.
We support people that enjoy gardening, sports, cooking and accessing the community, and need people that can further their exploration of hobbies and lifestyle choices. You will be able to support them to learn how to run their home, maintain their tenancy and as well as challenging them to explore new opportunities and develop their skills.
Donylands is looking for support workers that want to make real difference on a unique site and with the experience to make it happen.
As a Support Worker, you will be working with an individuals with various learning disabilities , requiring behavioural support while promoting their independence. No two days are the same and the support you provide, makes a huge difference to the individual you will be supporting, helping them to live full and happy lives
We are therefore looking for individuals with a kind and caring nature, who can engage with people at all levels. You will need be to demonstrate the level of patience required to be successful in this role. Main duties and responsibilities:
To participate in the day to day implementation of the individual’s support plans and activities within a challenging environment
To maintain effective communication and liaise with the service users, families and other staff members whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
To prepare meals, cleaning, and laundry duties
To maintain accurate notes and records when required
To work as part of a team to provide high quality care
Personal care is required.
Full Time Permanent Contract
37.5 hours per week
5.6. weeks annual leave
DBS check paid by the company prior to starting with us.
