TLC expanded into Supported Living services when it became apparent some people we support require a different environment. We now have properties across Essex, East Hertfordshire and Suffolk which enable individuals to live independently yet have all the support they need from our staff team and key worker, to help them achieve their goals and empower them towards more independent living.
Those who use our services are both males and females and have a range of diagnoses including Autism, Personality Disorder, Down Syndrome and Learning Disabilities.
Work for TLC
We would like to hear from you if you are caring, share our values and would like to support individuals to live independently in their own homes.
We have many interesting support roles and employees are trained to understand the needs of the individuals we support; this includes Autism, Positive Behaviour Support, Inclusive Communication Essex and Safeguarding.
Staff are encouraged to undertake vocational qualifications to further their careers and help build their skills and knowledge.
Supported living services
We believe individuals should be supported to be as independent as possible and our staff encourage them to participate in all aspects of their daily lives including housekeeping, personal care routines and making choices about activities and experiences they wish to be part of.
They all have person-centred support plans, risk assessments, health plans and goals for the future. We believe they should have a fulfilling and enjoyable life and be a part of the wider community. We regularly take them swimming, to the cinema and restaurants, bowling and shopping. We encourage them to participate in voluntary work or college depending on their interests.
TLC Care and Support has 12 residential care locations in Essex, providing high quality services to individuals over the age of 16 who either have a learning disability, an autistic spectrum disorder with associated complex challenging needs and/or a mental health diagnosis.
